About Me
For as long as I can remember, my passion has always been about telling the stories of others. Here’s a chance for me to tell you a little bit about mine.

A brief biography
I am a first-year at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill pursuing a major in Media and Journalism and a minor in Hispanic Studies. At UNC, I am a Carolina Scholar and a member of Honors Carolina. On campus, I’m actively involved in student media as a senior writer and DEI committee member at The Daily Tar Heel.
I have previously worked as a marketing intern for Carolina Housing and a contractor for Jostens, Inc. This past spring, I was named the National Student Journalist of the Year by the Journalism Education Association. My work has been published in the Austin American-Statesman, PBS NewsHour and the On Our Minds Podcast. An Austin, Texas native, I love live music, the outdoors and Mexican food.
